MIU has several research centers:
THE OSTWC
The Oriental Science and Technology Water Centre’s main tasks are to provide training, and conduct multidisciplinary scientific research in the field of water and develop comprehensive strategies for integrated and optimal management of Water resources in the Oriental area.
THE UARC
The University Archaeological Research Center aims at developing the means and methods of approach of modern archeology, and develop a comprehensive strategy for integrated management of the archaeological heritage of the Moroccan Oriental area.
THE REMOTE SENSING CENTER
The main objective of this center is to establish a framework for research and development of remote sensing and GIS techniques and skills.
THE ULCC
The University Languages and Communication Center aims at optimizing the work and studies of existing research groups, and pooling infrastructure and material resources available in the various institutions.
THE UMMSC
The University Migratory Movements Studies Center is a multidisciplinary research center on the Maghreb migration phenomena. It pools together various complementary specialists and researchers (sociologists, economists, geographers, political scientists and lawyers) in the study of migration phenomena.
